1. Honest business messages
Outbind is for contacting other businesses. When you use it, you must:
- Contact people in their work role, about something relevant to that role.
- Say who you are, with your real name and business, and a real postal address in every email (Outbind adds it to the footer for you).
- Use subject lines and messages that are true and not misleading.
- Make it easy to opt out, and never contact someone again after they ask you to stop. Outbind stops follow-ups when someone replies and blocks addresses that opted out.
- Have a lawful basis for contacting people, such as legitimate interests for relevant business offers, and follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you and to the people you contact, such as CAN-SPAM, the GDPR, the UK PECR and Canada’s CASL.
2. What is not allowed
- Contacting consumers: contacting private individuals at personal addresses or numbers, unless you have their consent.
- Bought or harvested lists: importing lists you are not allowed to use, or addresses collected without permission from websites, events or other tools.
- Deception: pretending to be someone else, fake replies or threads (such as a false “Re:”), invented facts about the person or their company, or hiding who is really sending.
- Harassment: threatening, abusive, hateful or sexual messages, or contacting the same person in a way meant to pressure them.
- Unlawful offers: promoting anything illegal, scams, get-rich-quick schemes, unlicensed financial or medical products, weapons, drugs, adult content or gambling where it is not allowed.
- Sensitive data: adding health data, political opinions, religious beliefs or other special categories of data, or data about children.
- Getting around limits: bypassing daily sending limits, opt-out checks or credit limits, using several accounts to get around a suspension, or sharing one account between businesses.
- Misusing connected accounts: using a mailbox, social or LinkedIn account you are not allowed to use, or sending in a way that breaks that platform’s rules on volume or automation.
- Misusing the Service: reselling data from Outbind as a list, copying our database, scraping the Service, testing its security without our written permission, or using it to build a competing product.
- Misusing AI: using Outbind’s AI to create unlawful, deceptive or harmful content, or trying to make it ignore its safety rules.
3. Keeping sending healthy
High bounce rates, spam complaints and opt-outs hurt your own results and can harm other customers. Outbind checks email addresses before sending, keeps sending within daily limits and watches your domain’s reputation. If an account shows signs of spam, such as a high complaint or bounce rate, we may lower its limits or pause its sending until the cause is fixed.
4. You stay responsible
You are the sender of every message that goes out from your accounts, whether Autopilot sends it on its own, as it does by default, or you approve it first. Read what Outbind writes for you, set Autopilot’s rules with care, and fix anything that is wrong. Outbind’s checks help, but they do not replace your own legal duties.
5. What we do if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove content, lower your limits, pause sending, suspend features, or close your account, as the Terms allow. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. We may act straight away when there is a risk of harm to other people, to other customers or to the Service, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
6. Reporting abuse
If you received a message sent through Outbind that breaks these rules, forward it to legal@outbind.ai and we will look into it. If you simply want to stop hearing from a sender, reply to their email, or ask us to remove your data from Outbind.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service and the law change. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date above, and tell you by email or in the app if the changes are significant.
